Morning Coffee – Just Two Days Edition

Election day is just two days away and the campaign is heating up. Candidates are out working to get their supporters out, there’s more news than you can shake a stick at, and Election Commissions all over the state are making their final preparations to the deluge of voters on election day.

Yesterday the Secretary of State’s office reported that more people voted early than ever this year. That’s awesome. Hopefully, turnout on election day will exceed expectations.

If you’re still on the fence about who you support, statewide or locally, it’s time to start making decisions. Most of the candidates I’ve run into have a facebook page at least, if not a full website. If you have a particular cause that you’re all about, you can likely go to an advocacy group’s site to see who best fits the bill. There are all kinds of places to go and educate yourself on the candidates. Use the resources out there to your advantage. It doesn’t really take that long, and you’ll feel better about whomever you pull the lever, or as is the case in most counties in Tennessee, push the button for.

On to the Coffee!

Concerned about the quality of your water? Apparently so is Mike McWherter, but apparently he’s the ONLY gubernatorial candidate who is.

The Tennessee Conservative Union ranked the candidates on the Republican side. Verdict, they’re not big fans of Haslam. Surprise!

Tin Foil Hat Alert! It was just a matter of time…

Chris Sanders is talking jobs over at Smart City Memphis.

Our buddy LWC notes that Mike McWherter will be in Memphis on Wednesday. Come on out and say hi if ya can.

Have a great day!

You know, Steve, it’s a good thing I’m a regular reader of STP because I didn’t even realize that Smart City Memphis had picked up our blog post about jobs. Thanks for keeping me informed about what we’re up to. LOL.

Seriously, though, thanks for keeping a lot of things connected that are otherwise not getting needed attention in the TN blogosphere.

    Sure thing.

Yeah, I read that this morning and I was confused. I can’t handle curve balls very well at 6am.
