A memorial service for former University of Memphis and Memphis Grizzlies basketball player, Lorenzen Wright will be held today at 1pm at the FedEx Forum in Memphis. Here’s the coverage from the Commercial Appeal:
Several prominent members of the basketball community are expected to speak, including Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley and former Tiger Elliot Perry, as well as Memphis Mayor AC Wharton. Many of Wright’s former NBA teammates are expected to attend.

“When it was brought up by the family to do the service here, Michael Heisley was welcome to do that,” Grizzlies vice president of business operations Greg Campbell said. “He has great affection for Lorenzen.”

Seating for the public in the lower bowl will be first-come, first-serve. The FedExForum parking garage will be open for free, but available spaces will be limited.
