No one wants to bury their child. Finally, there are reports that the case of Henry Granju is finally being investigated by the Knoxville Police Department. It’s not going to bring Henry back, but it’s a start to put the people who took a tire iron to him to justice. As more details about this very private, family matter come to light, it’s heartbreaking to think of what this family has gone through this month. Not only heart-wrenching, but unfathomable.
In light of this terrible tragedy to the Allison/Granju family, a scholarship has been set up in Henry’s name. Shane Rhyne has the details about the immediate fund set-up and links to information regarding services to be held for Henry later this week.
Our family is starting what we hope will become a permanent, endowed fund that will provide scholarships for families who cannot afford to pay for needed drug and alcohol treatment programs for their children. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you remember our boy and his struggles by considering a donation to:

Support has been amazing to the point that bandwidth on both Katie’s site and Shane’s exceeded normal levels, suspending both accounts temporarily. They are up and running now.
It’s best to remember to preserve Henry’s legacy, so his death is not in vain.
