Mid-Week Meanderings

Ahh … it’s the end of Hump Day where beer is eyed greedily and the light at the end of the week’s work tunnel has suddenly come into sight.  As it goes for us pesky bloggers, we like to link to other pesky bloggers and to news stories that caught our eye. As it is the end of the day and it’s hotter than Hades’ armpit, let’s sniff around and see what is happening.

Zach McMillan has the story that King Willie is staying on message on his one-note campaign which now may have spread into five or six notes. There are too many quotes to count. I’ll let you read it yourself. Jackson Baker has more from yesterday with a great picture of Lexie Carter as well.

Aunt B. says Zach Wamp is in a tough place. Why you may ask? Because of this where Eastman CEO Jim Rogers says Wamp might want some decaf.

The Mississippi River is a powerful goddess. Read what Bruce has to say about the tug of war between the Gulf and this mighty river.

Our friend Shane Rhyne is writing today about social media and medical practices. He’s asking some good questions about who is using the Internet to find out about health care.

Dan wrote yesterday (sorry I missed it brother) of presidential oval office addresses over the years. Good stuff all in one place with extra goodness of history all in one place for one-stop shopping.

Cathy and Doug do need their own reality show. I mean this.

Congratulations to Knox News who won an Edward R. Murrow award. That’s wonderful.

Joe Spake has come out of the closet and admits he is a foodie.

Finally, the image above comes from what I found to be very entertaining blog called Blog, Sweat and Beers. There are rules to drink a beer my friends and they take you through step by step. It’s about five years old but I had fun with it anyway.

Happy Hump Day.
