I really don’t know what to say this morning other than this video is mesmerizing. I mean, there is a lot to talk about. The Tennessee legislature is almost done for this year. On one hand, it wasn’t as bad as last year. It seemed a little bit less “wedgy” on the issues but it’s obvious we still
have a way to go.
But let’s talk about the weather. Why not? When I was a kid, I used to see older dudes sitting outside of my great-uncle’s gas station (a Gulf franchise) talking about the weather. I’ve noticed in recent years, it’s that they don’t do that so much and now sit in front of the Weather Channel. Boy, there are going to be some unhappy people now that the cable newser is in negotiations with Dish.

Lindsey Turner writes about the front page of the Commercial Appeal that has caused a bit of controversy in the past couple of days. Personally, I don’t think we should sanitize news for the sake of sanitizing it. Was it startling? Yes. Was the violence that occurred on Thursday that put communities on alert horrifying? Yes. CA managing editor Scott Sines also writes about the issue and why decisions were made to put the photo on the front page. I’ll tell you, when I discussed this last night, the reception was mixed.
