It Is Apparently Rep. Gary Odom Day At Speak To Power

Dude! Where have you been? This is good stuff that helps real people devastated by this month’s flooding.

Rep. Gary Odom

Additional government incentives for flood victims could become part of the state’s budget for the year beginning July 1 under a proposal put forth by House Minority Leader Gary Odom, D-Nashville.

Basically, it is regarding rebuilding efforts and would help give tax incentives/breaks to folks who were in the Tennessee Flood including appliances and building materials. It helps not only people who lost their homes, but also who have small businesses.

Kudos to Odom for stepping up in a crisis.

This is, my friends, democratic leadership when it is most needed. This will help the entire state, from Millington to Dyersburg all the way to Wilson County help rebuild. And, as Odom’s staff assistant Skip Cauthorn noted, these supplies would not have been bought if it hadn’t been for the flood.

Good work, Rep. Odom, who has been very active of getting the word out to all of Tennessee during the past couple of weeks. we are giving props because they are definitely due.

Well, even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

Douglas Henry, Jeff Yarbro are both using their websites to keep folks updated. Odom’s website? Nothing.

As a district 55 resident, sales tax breaks seem to be about the only time I hear from Odom. Once a year I get a phone call or a card telling me no taxes for school items. The rest of the time, I watch my octogenarian State Senator run circles around Odom. Pitiful.

Johnny, good call. Both Henry and Yarbro have been amazing. When I wrote that, I have to say I have been following Odom on Facebook where he has had updates constantly.
There, he has been pretty good. So many things on line.

    Everyone picks there place.
