$1.5 Billion in Estimates For Nashville

This list is getting depressing this evening and these, including Carroll and Dyer Counties, are just preliminary.

Flood damages in Nashville alone are being estimated at $1.5 billion, a number the mayor says will climb because they haven’t finished checking all areas.

Mayor Karl Dean said 83% of damaged commercial, industrial and nearly 2,000 residential buildings in Davidson County.

“This doesn’t include damage to public infrastructure like roads and bridges or the contents of any buildings,” Dean said at a daily news briefing Friday at Belmont University.

Karl said the numbers seem daunting and are truly large. He continued his message that Nashville is in the process of recovering from last weekend’s floods.

Just aggregating these things right now. Daunting indeed.
