Morning Coffee – Shock and Awe Edition

The only Shock and Awe this movie had was that they made it

I’m not sure what happened in my sleep that would lead me to wake up with shock and awe in my head. I imagine it can’t be good whatever it is. So, of course, instead of REALLY looking into myself to find out what’s wrong, I went straight to the movie Tank.

I don’t really remember when I saw this movie. It was probably a couple of years after it came out, because I remember it was on HBO. Anyway, there are some funny lines, especially the exchange about “Posse Comitatus”.

I do remember the most disturbing thing in that movie though, and I can’t find the quote, but it involved Shirley Jones, who played the lead character’s wife, getting a bit rough and risque with her language.

I know I know, it was in the script, and since I can’t remember the darn line, whatever, but this was Shirley Jones, the momma from the Partridge Family. Seriously, I just memeber my little teen aged head spinning.

Alright, I don’t know what all this is about but I’ve got an appointment this weekend to find out.

Coffee, extra strong, preferably been sitting out all night, “getting good”.

Ben Leming a Democratic candidate in TN-06, has a new website up. Go give it a look-see.

Isn’t this a little like asking the fox not to eat all the chickens while guarding the henhouse? Right.

Woah, 18% of voters in Benton County have their registrations questioned. Remember what I said about the henhouse?

"Prince" Mongo

I think this guy should run against Mongo for king of Memphis crazy.

Speaking of crazy, Disorganized anti-government group gets forms federation to “look more organized”.

Pollen is bad this year. So bad, they’re writing about it in newspapers. My eyes have felt like they were sandpaper for days.

Alright people. It’s the last day of the week. Get out there and do whatever it is you do to get through it. A weekend of slack is just around the corner!
