Morning Coffee – Thunderstruck Edition

Last night, here in Memphis we had our first Spring storm of the season, even though spring is officially 10 some days away.

It was one heckuva storm. Lots of lightning and thunder. Rained like crazy. Every animal in the house got up in the bed from all the racket. Really it was hilarious. The bed was shakin’ like I put 2 dollars in the magic fingers.

I’ve been gone for several days due to my Spring Break working vacation. To be honest, I’d be surprised if I could find my patootie with both hands right about now, but Trace has been carrying the load all week, so I’m removing the cobwebs from my reader, and headed down RSS lane…

Guns in Bars is back *sigh*

The title of a State bill gets reconsidered. Personally, I liked the name, though I think it should have been a bit more comprehensive and listed the sponsor’s name too…at the very least.

“English Only” is advancing in the State Lege… Next on the agenda, a bill to restrict those who have accents that don’t reflect southern values…

Corker’s down with the payday lenders. Somehow I’m not surprised…

Responding to Forbes, Memphis Edition

The State Unemployment fund is running low on cash. Everything in state government is running low on cash!

And finally, it’s the end of Shelby County Government as we know it according to Smart City. I think I feel fine about that, actually…

For those of you unhappy that the title of this post said “Thunderstruck” and I didn’t even talk about ACDC, well, here, this is for you. Now go play with some matches or something.

Have a great day!
