As all of us today have been doing our day jobs, watched HFJ crash and burn on a national stage and watching a spirited conversation over at Post Politics about how Memphis isn’t really that miserable, so let’s do something different tonight. We may try to do this earlier in the evening, but there really is some great reading in the blogosphere we may have missed today.
Not all of it’s political, but we progressives are more than just our politics. At least that’s what I tell my dad when we are talking about health-care reform.
- Jason Tippett has suggested reading over at his blog in honor of Women’s History Month. Good advice all the way around.
- More suggestions if you are looking for something to cuddle up in the house during these last few days of winter from R. Neal, who thinks you would enjoy Cocaine Cowboys.
- Jen-Sized has a thought about the psychology of people. I tend to agree.
- Jeff Woods was hung UP ON! By a legislator! Asking a question?!! What the HELL!?! (I have decided that some ALL CAPS applied here.) Go find out what happened at Pith In The Wind.
- Brooklyn’s Ambassador of Love John Flansburgh of They Might Be Giants, Bill Howell of Tennesseans for Fair Taxation, and Karl Frisch of of Media Matters for America were on Liberadio this morning. Head there to find out what they had to say.
- I would say that this headline is, at best, unfortunate.
- Although it is a Captain Obvious sort of headline, In Session at the Tennessean made me chuckle with this one about Rep. Marsha Blackburn.
- Sputnik has an entertaining review of the Winter Olympics. And what an Olympics it was just for the mere fact that most of us talked about Bob Costas’ toupee as much as we did the games. We are shallow that way.
Going to eat bad delivery pizza and pack for a day of frivolity Mid-State. See you on the flipside, my lovelies.
