YLF makes a great point about the TPN: why help them by protesting?
I refuse to protest the Tea Party Nation convention that’s going to take place all of three miles (ten miles by car) from where I sit.
Protesting this for-profit farce helps coalesce the nebulous rage at any political establishment and funnels it toward an easy target – Democrats. Most of these folks would never vote for anyone with a D after their name, so it’s no skin off our backs. Let them split the Republican vote.
