Yeah, that’s right, I said it. Thank God it’s not Monday, which could be said just about any day of the week, but Monday. But today, I’m especially glad it’s not Monday, because Monday is the first day of March, and first days of the month come with all sorts of unpleasantness.
I know, I know, I should be thankful for another whole month of fun and games at my disposal, but right now the burden of February’s grey, and the looming and impending doom that will come to my sinuses as March barrels toward my allergies just isn’t really exciting me that much.
I’ll get over it. On to the Coffee!!!
Republican Gubernatorial CandidateBill Haslam is sticking to his guns to avoid transparency at all costs. But my favorite line of the article: Haslam said questions about such issues are being asked more of him than any other candidate in the campaign. Ummm, yeah….do ya… did ya… oh nevermind.
The Memphis Liberal (as if there’s only one or something 😉 ) says she agrees with Lamar!, we should start over, because:
Everyone else is able to get the same healthcare we get for their WHOLE POLULATION, by paying what we pay for Medicare and Medicaid alone. I think we need to go back to the drawing board and ask “How do they do it?” and emulate it.
Somehow, I don’t think this endorsement of Lamar!’s idea is gonna thrill the flannel.
There’s more talk of Convention Centers…this time in Memphis. *sigh* I’ve spent the better part of my last 12 years in convention centers. They’re really not all that special. But, since everyone’s got to have a bigger and better one, here are my suggestions from 2008 and 2009 on the subject.
Finally, this morning I off you some dietary advice…yes, Macaroni and Cheese is a vegetable!
Ok, get out there and plow through the day. It’ll be over, and you’ll be relaxing at your favorite relaxation hole before you know it.
