Morning Coffee

As we still mourn the passing of the Zippin Pippin and  look toward today to see what nutty bills are going to be discussed in Nashville today, it’s time for our  favorite beverage before noon.

Let’s look around Tennessee and see what happened overnight.

Tim Sampson has a few words about TMI at The Rant at the Memphis Flyer. This one is the kind where I imagine his eyes were red as he was writing. Jim Maynard has more on it as well with video.

Institutional bigotry? That what Kevin at Lean Left said has happened this week.

Sharon Cobb tells us of After the Rapture Pet Care. No, I’m not kidding and neither is she. It’s real.

“The government does not need to manage the economy day to day.” That’s what Our Boy Blue says about the free market at Your Liberal Friends.

Rachel has a run down of health-related issues for women at Women’s Health News. She also blog at Our Bodies Our Blog.

Want to know the state of your counties’ health? BaxterBlogs has the link where you can see where your county stands. Some of the results look rather dismal. Williamson County is the healthiest.  Here is Shelby County’s and I think the word the younguns use is Whoa.

Lots of good stuff coming today, but to get our minds off the state of the state, let’s look at crafts because you know we folks on the innertubes love crafty stuff. But, being us, it’s best that we look at crafts that make us laugh such as the wonderful finds at Regretsy, where they ask the question “Did you make that with your feet?”

Anniversary coming up, how about orange peel earrings:

For fifteen smackaroos, you can wear recycling on your ears. AWESOME.
