Remember earlier today, when we told you about Commissioner Ritz filing a civil-rights lawsuit against the state? The backlash has begun, apparently:
Members of The MED task force questioned Shelby County commissioner Mike Ritz on Thursday about his decision to file a civil rights complaint against the state of Tennessee over how its distribution of federal health care dollars impacts minorities.

Reaction came swiftly after The Daily News reported the filing of the complaint in its online edition Wednesday afternoon. M.D. “Dave” Goetz Jr., who heads the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration, sent an e-mail about the complaint to Gene Holcomb, the chairman of the hospital board, saying it had “changed the city’s ability to negotiate.”
It’s called putting it out on the table, Mr. Goetz, show ‘em if you got ‘em!
